Frequently Asked Questions

PSA Questions

Q: How do I change my unit to work on 110 instead of 220 Volts or work on 220 instead of 110 Volts?
A: DO NOT ATTEMPT WITH THE UNIT PLUGGED IN!
  1. Remove rear panel (4) retaining screws in the 4 corners.
  2. Pull panel out far enough to access wires at the "line" fuse holder.
  3. Slide back the tube insulation and unsolder the wire at the "ring" terminal (Not the Red One at the tip).
  4. Select the proper wire for the input line voltage desired as follows: (for transformer with white bobbin only if bobbin is black or if you have questions please call or fax us)
    Orange = 100V
    White = 120V
    Blue = 220V
    Yellow = 240V
  5. Strip end of your selected wire, push through the insulation tube and solder it to ring terminal of line fuse holder. Slide insulating tube back over fuse holder.
  6. Check connector at high voltage board and then reinstall rear panel.
  7. Change line fuse if necessary. Use 1 Amp for 100V and 120V. Use .5 Amp for 220V or 240V.
  8. Field change of line voltage input is now complete.
